the smell function (smell CD's) (land of Plenty) doesnt seem to work. when in a room, the test to continue working the room (eating all that the robot finds) fails. the routine to get out of room (find a door and go thru it happens even though i can see the room full of cd's. With 500 pts a pop, thats a hugh loss of points when that test fails. I end up using just bump around to get decent points. Too many looking and feeling for CD will waste too many cpu cycles and the score ends up low.

You are right. I screwed it up when I made the WALLs 1 square thick.

I fixed it in this week's contest build.

hi doug, is it possible that i can get the update to the program so it
works? I did purchase the program and i would like to see what happens to my points when i add the smell function.

My points for Land of Plenty are:

Jims # 13 son

highest score obtained : 19,850
series score with above: 14,775

Jims # 12 son

highest score obtained : 18,650
series score with above: 14,841

The above scores came up when running series from 30 to 100
games. A good feature for you to add to the program is to
request the number of games to run in a series. That way i
dont have to baby sit it while its running; i can just set 30 games
and then come back in an hour and see how all is going. This
would be very good for contesting !

thanks

You should have just got email about the contest with a link to the new 3D build with fixed IFSMELL. Let me know if it works for you.

Great scores on Land of Plenty. We'll have to run a contest with that mission.

Yes, a series counter is a must. Noted in my todo list.

Go ahead an edit your phone numbers out of your forum post. I'll email you.

Thanks!
