Mac OS 10.5.1 (Leopard)

Several chips are not subtracting cycles from the cycle counter. Examples: PUSHNUMBER, COMPARE, PLUS. POP STACK etc.

I was afraid you might fix this bug! Sad

I have some "perfect" ChipWits that will now starve instead of completing their mission. For example, my most complex Wit completely cleans out all disks in BoomTown in less than 2,000 cycles and without entering any non-disk rooms. However, it barely gets by before fuel runs out. After your correction it's sure to experience massive starvation.

This brings up the general problem documented elsewhere about not having enough fuel for some missions. And it also ties into what another poster has said about the high cycle cost of using subroutines and loops. In my view he rightly pointed out that these should be encouraged yet current costs make you want to avoid using them.

OK, OK - I've given you enough to work on already. Wink. But the lack of food resources is something that needs to be fixed eventually.

Don't worry about giving me too much work. I am in no hurry to make this a solid game. I will lower the cost of subroutine calls.

And I am going to double the fuel from PIE and COFFEE.
